About
Jenny Arts is a personal website dedicated to my art and craft. I have always been keeping my hands busy with pet projects all my life and these pages serve as a showcase for my life’s work. I’ve noticed I seem to go through phases of craft (from Chinese knotting to string dolls to polymer clay dolls to magnets to clothing and so forth) but in the end, the common theme is the simple need to create something with my hands, my creativity, and my passion. I am not a professional by any means nor have I received any professional instruction. Unless you count books or HGTV, I am self-taught in all my art. With this web page, I hope to share my creations with the rest of the world. I also hope to share my accumulated knowledge and experiences with fellow aspiring artisans. Hopefully these works will inspire you to go and create something wonderful of your own. Where the next project takes me I do not know, I just follow my heart. If you want to keep up with me, be sure to come back and visit often!
Just don’t bother me when I’m crafting
If you’ve been a follower from the beginning in 2001 you’ll see that the website has undergone its third makeover (feeling nostalgic? check out some screenshots from the last two revisions). Rest assured, the quality content is unchanged but the overall look and feel has been totally updated for your maximum modern day web surfing enjoyment. The previous two iterations had a sort of charming, homey feel to them, but the new one is designed with a retro-yet-modern vibe, with the stark black-and-white theme underscoring a web 2.0 blog-like layout. You might be thinking, has this place become a blog? has Jenny become, like, a cool artsy hipster? To answer the first question, the website will now be featuring tutorials from time-to-time that are blog-like in nature in addition to the scattered news and gallery updates of former days. To answer the second question, heck yeah go mama!
